More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
As a Direct Care Professional, I have cared for individuals of different ages and needs, which has strengthened my patience, attentiveness, and ability to support others. My nursing studies have also given me a strong foundation in health, safety, and child development. I have helped care for younger family members and children in my community, including supervising activities, preparing meals, and keeping them safe and engaged.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing all kinds of activities with children, both indoors and outdoors. Indoors, I love arts and crafts, reading stories, baking and cooking simple recipes, playing board games, and doing puzzles. Outdoors, I enjoy going to the park, taking nature walks, and being active. I also like trips to the mall, library visits, and fun seasonal activities like pumpkin picking, holiday crafts, building snowmen, and apple picking . I happily follow each child’s interests and energy, whether that means quiet learning time or running around having fun. Most of all, I want children to feel safe, happy, and engaged.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is keeping children safe, happy, and well cared for while supporting their growth and development
My experience with special needs children...
Through my work as a Direct Care Professional, I have supported individuals with a range of special needs, including autism, seizure disorders, behavioral challenges, and Down syndrome. This experience has taught me patience, adaptability, and how to meet each person where they are. I understand the importance of routines, clear communication, and creating a calm, supportive environment. I am comfortable assisting with daily activities, managing behaviours with patience, encouraging independence, and responding to each child’s unique needs with care and respect.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was with a little girl who was having one of those days where she didn’t want to do anything. Nothing seemed to interest her. But the second I told her to get ready because we were heading to her favorite food place, her whole face lit up and she started laughing. Seeing her go from completely uninterested to so happy and excited in an instant melted my heart. Those little moments of pure joy are exactly why I love what I do

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Leominster, MA: Grace D.
Hi! I worked at a daycare for exactly a year with kids as young as 6 months and as old as 5. However I have babsysat my younger siblings- girl and boy- from toddlerhood, to now (10 and 13). I take pride in my skill working with kids. It comes naturally to me but it’s also a skill I’m constantly working to become better at. I’ve found a great balance between meeting the kids on their level— (playing on the ground, getting messy, opening my imagination, relating internally to better understand their big emotions)— and also understanding my role/responsibility as their caretaker/teacher/role model.
