More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My current position as a Pre-K teacher at a licensed childcare center, where I’ve been for over a year. In this role, I create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities, support social-emotional growth, and maintain strong communication with families. Before this, I worked as a nanny for a year, caring for two young boys and managing their daily routines, outings, and play. I also have an additional year of experience working at another daycare center, supporting children across various age groups. Altogether, I bring a strong foundation in early childhood education, hands-on care, and a passion for nurturing children’s growth in both home and classroom settings.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Hands-on sensory play, arts and crafts, nature walks, storytelling, and dramatic play. I love setting up open-ended activities that encourage creativity, independence, and curiosity, whether we’re painting with unconventional materials, building with blocks, or exploring bubbles and water outside. I also enjoy reading books together, singing songs, and creating simple learning games that support early literacy and math skills. Most of all, I love creating joyful, meaningful moments that make children feel seen, supported, and excited to learn.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Building a strong, trusting relationship with both the child and their family. It’s about being a consistent, loving presence in a child’s life someone who not only keeps them safe, but also helps them grow, feel heard, and be themselves. A nanny is there for the little moments: the scraped knees, the belly laughs, the tough days, and the milestones. It’s about creating a nurturing environment where a child feels seen, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them. At the same time, it’s about respecting the family’s values, communicating openly, and working as a team to provide the best care possible. Being a nanny isn’t just a job it’s a relationship rooted in connection, care, and genuine love for children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A memorable moment I had with one of the boys I nannied was when he unexpectedly spoke Spanish to me after weeks of gently introducing the language during our daily routines. We had been working on basic words and phrases in a fun, casual way through songs, play, and conversation without any pressure. One afternoon, while I offered him a snack he didn’t want, he looked up at me with a little smile and simply said, “No, gracias.” It caught me completely off guard in the best way. It was such a small phrase, but hearing him use it naturally and confidently made me feel so proud, not just of him, but of the connection we had built and the trust he had in learning something new with me. It reminded me how impactful consistent, loving guidance can be, and how children often surprise us with what they absorb when we lead with patience, intention, and joy.
