More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at a community center as a counselor. I also worked at a daytime summer camp on an island. I also have special needs cousins that I have cared for before. Im really good with routines if a child has to take medicine at a certain time or needs extra assistance with things. My aunt owned a daycare at her home and I worked there aswell. I volunteer to take care of any child in my family when my cousins and aunts and uncles need breaks and/or babysitters.

I enjoy planning age-appropriate activities for children such as imaginative play, interactive learning games, arts and crafts, sensory activities, and structured outdoor time. I focus on creating a safe, positive environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and social development.

The thing that matters most to me is always the safety and comfort of a child. Safety is my number one priority because parents trust me with the care of their children, and if something goes wrong—even an accident—it ultimately falls on me. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I am trained to follow any specific protocols a family may have for their children. Equally important to me is a child’s comfort. I am trustworthy, honest, and naturally nurturing, and most children if not all I have encountered feel safe and at ease in my presence. I would never want a child to feel like a burden or uncomfortable to the point where they avoid interacting with me and wait only for their parents to return.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve cared for nonverbal autistic children and a child with partial mobility who had a feeding tube. In addition, I have worked with children with Down syndrome at the community center camp.

The most important part about being a nanny...

So I babysit for this family with 4kids and the mom was home at the time and she had just got done folding laundry and left it on her couch and went to the kitchen to cook dinner as im caring for her infant feeding him a bottle on the couch and her 1yr old comes and grabs her older brothers underwear and her older sister shoes and puts them both on and starts running around with the underwear really big on her over her diaper and shes flopping around in the shoes it was the cutest most funniest thing
