A little bit about me

I have 16 years of experience in the Early Childhood setting. I have an associate's in Child Development and Early Education from LCC and a bachelor's in Sociology from GVSU. I have worked in most positions in the field. I started off as an aide/assistant, then worked my way to lead teacher. At one point I was even the assistant director of the city of East Lansing's child care program at bailey.

I am a big believer in fostering the social/emotional development of children. When that area of development is fostered I find the others will follow. That is not to say I don't foster cognitive, motor, language, and literacy development as well. I love to be outside. As a teacher I love brining all the aspects of the classroom outdoors.

I am First Aid, CPR, and AED certified. (5/21) I can furnish letters of recommendation and references upon request.
