The most important part about being a nanny...
Caring for children fills a need in all of us that we were placed here to teach, to love, and to nuture those younger than ourselves because they will be our leaders one day. I enjoy knowing that I was a part of teaching them to have good table manners but teaching them how to care for others as well as themselves. We have first aide parties with the baby dolls as well as baking parties! Story time just before naps and bedtime is always fun and teaches the children that there is entertainment other than computers and television.
My experience with special needs children...
Mentally and physically handicapped including ventilator. and oxygen dependent. Nebulizer treatments are not a problem.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Watching the faces of the children light up when they look in the oven wi dow and see the cookies or cupcakes rising and are so amazed that they are ready to make 12 colors of frosting! Their mother came in and was suprised at the 12 rainbow colors of hair they also obtained! Loved it!
