More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Working at my church in the children’s ministry. Some was volunteer work and other times was paid work. I also babysit during the week too.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Coloring, nerf wars, building forts and watching movies, going outside and taking walks, going to the park, coloring with chalk, reading books, singing silly songs, playing with Barbie’s, singing abc’s and learning to count, playing with play dough, doing puzzles, playing hide and seek. The possibilities are endless!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Growing up as a child with a single mother struggling to make ends meet because of lack of child care, I seen how much harder she had to work. This job is so much more than playing with a baby. It’s giving mom/and or dad a few hours to get some work done. It’s helping a hard working parent with small tasks around the house and prepping dinner so they get some help too. Making sure parents can work and take care of their children and family. Life is stressful and scary enough. The last thing you should have to worry about is not being able to provide because of lack of child care. The most important part is making sure you and your family’s needs are met at the end of each and everyday.

My experience with special needs children...

I have watched multiple children on the spectrum. I have also worked with children who have internal Bleeding and multiple other severe medical conditions.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I first started nannying for a family last year the child I was caring for really had no interest in me whatsoever and would just have a hard time with parent being away for a few hours. I struggled the first few days racking my brain of alll the fun ways we
Can divert the sadness into passion and joy and just when I was running out of previous techniques to try I finally stumbled on one that this child loved! When parent would leave and child would enter meltdown mode I had no other choice than to plop down next to child and moo like a cow. For some reason this was the funniest thing ever. Child had a speech delay and we were waiting for the child to speak when they were ready to and the first word they said was “MOOOOOOOOO” absolutely warmed my heart and is a story I will never forget.
