As a young adult I babysat a nine month old baby. I also took care of school age kids from ages 10 through 12. I've also tutored young children in spelling, reading. I had a job with two school age kids and a toddler. And I would help the kids with their homework and provide tutoring for them. I have also done pick up and drop off to school for kids at times.

I enjoy playing with children and teaching them through play. When outside showing them the flowers and trees and birds. Watching them get excited about new things that they see and hear. It's fun to see them have new experiences. Creating things, doing art, reading books to them.

The most important part is that you are responsible for someone's child. So you want to make sure that they're safe. Make sure the child feels safe and comfortable with you. You also want to make sure that there is time for play. Have a schedule so the time there is enjoyable for you and for them. Make sure that there's activities that they can learn from and have fun. Make sure you communicate with the parents so they know what's going on with their child.
