Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have cared for children under all sorts of circumstances. When I was young it was just to be around children. My family, grandmother and aunts were foster parents for babies going up for adoption. There were always babies to play with and care for. It became a passion of mine that never went away. I was the oldest of 5, with the youngest born when I was 13. My mom worked nights so I was his primary care giver. That feeling of needing to he be with children was always in me so I naturally became a child care provider.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, puzzles, provide learning tools to help them get ready for preschool, crafts, lots of free play to encourage independence and allow their own imagination to excel, (believe it or not, this is extremely important), it builds confidence and self esteem. Outdoor playtime to get out the zoomies! Depending on the age some food prep.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating a strong foundation from the start so that they can achieve the proper age goals and milestones with the confidence to keep building on those. To provide consistency and nurture each child to his or her fullest potential as well as provide them with a strong loving nd caring environment in which to thrive. Depending on the ages, seeing them master their major milestones. Hearing them just laugh and be happy. I love being goofy, it brings out their sense of humors.
