Arts, crafts, writing, pretend play, swimming, walks, team sports, reading, writing, science experiments, cooking. Anything that is fun for the child and offers them experiences that will enhance their life.

My experience with special needs children...

As a teacher in the classroom and as a manager of school aged care programmes I have enjoyed working with a vast array of students who have specific individual needs. Children with Autism, communication delays including non verbal, children with Downs Syndrome, children with mobility difficulties, cognitive and emotional impairments, children who are ahead of their peers in specific areas plus children with other health diagnosis. All children are children first, all children are individual, all children have strengths, interests and knowledge that means they are a unique individual.
