Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have a passion for caring for children and culturing fun loving memories. I have had the honor of volunteering at Word of Truth nursery to attend to the needs of infants, babies and toddlers. I've volunteered at camp Barnabas three times where I assisted a child with special needs with every day needs but over all to be able to enjoy themselves at camp. I've had the wonderful opportunity to serve as an assistant to a teacher at Apple Tree Academy, managing a class of 15-19 two year olds a day enriching their lives in academics and fun!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Every day life, I've noticed, can be so exciting when you look at it from a child's view. Activities I enjoy doing with children mostly consist of teaching them new activities (depending on their age and development) that exited them, such as: activities in the kitchen, doing laundry, or learning to vacuume. When it's time to just keep things fun my favorite games to play with kids 5 and under are dance party where we can dress up and shake our sillies out to fun child favorite music, the pizza game where we all sit in a circle in a grand game of imagination to make a pizza with all the ingredients that we can think of, and stories for when it's time to chill and just read a book.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had short experience with children with special needs at a camp I attended on three different occasions called camp Barnabas. There I took care of so many wonderful children who gave me great experiences to see the world in a brighter and over all happier place.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite part of my experience with my kids that I've been around it just hearing them out. They have so much to share! They're learning every day and have so many questions. I love just sitting down, looking them in the eye, and just hearing what they have to share. In my experience, no matter how long or short of a time I'm in a child's life, connecting with them in that way will make such a positive and powerful impact on them.
