A little bit about me

I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and graduated high school in 2017. I was a gymnastics coach and taught kids ages 2-17. I had three nanny jobs throughout high school. Each family had two kids and the ages ranged from 5-13.

I went to college in Kansas and got a degree in Environmental Science and graduated in May 2021. I moved to Montana to work for the Conservation Corps. I also worked in Southern California at an Outdoor Education Science Camp where I was an educator. I then moved to San Fransisco to work as an outdoor educator at another school. I have experience teaching kids (14-17) outdoor ethics, backpacking skills, conflict resolution/team building, communication skills, and outdoor science topics such as forest ecology and geology.

I love to spend time outdoors creating more environmental stewards to help protect our planet!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at Pali Institute where I cared for and taught students 4th - 9th grade. My focuses on teaching were science (geology, animal adaptations, forest ecology, reptiles) , outdoor education (art, hiking, orienteering, outdoor skills), leadership (team building) , and night activities (night hike, astronomy, game night, owl pellet dissection).

I moved to San Fransisco and found another job as an outdoor educator. Instead of the school providing the lesson material, I was responsible for creating and completing the desired learning material.

I have been nannying in my free time since I was 14. I have experience with kids age 2-17 in a variety of environments.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoors: Board games, cooking/baking, playing with toys and arts and crafts

Outdoor: hiking, biking, water sports, rock climbing, beach days, soccer, and basketball.

I will do anything the kids like to do as I am there for them and their enjoyment :)

My experience with special needs children...

I have nannied for a child that had cerebral palsy and I have experience with kids on the spectrum. I have nannied multiple children with asperger syndrome.
