A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Sydney Catrett, I am 20 years old, turning 21 in November. I have always had an affinity for taking care of others, especially little ones. I grew up taking care of my younger brother when I was a teenager while our mom and dad were at work. I would guess that’s when I learned to cook and help better around the house. I’ve babysat lots of children, but had about 2 full-time babysitting jobs. I connect really well with the parents and the kiddos, too. I like to differentiate my “playing” styles with kids of different ages. Anyways, this is just a small insight to who I am as a person and hope you think of me to take care of your kids!

The most important part about being a nanny...

There’s so many delights to being a nanny, so it’s difficult to choose just one thing. I would have to say that building a bond with the kids is one of my favorite things to see. Kids are so impressionable at young ages that it’s good for them to be social with others and learn how to be a friend, and that’s what I try to do when I nanny.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was nannying 2 small boys about 2-3 years ago when I was making them dinner and they both wanted to help. We made a favorite among all kids, spaghetti. And I let them make the meatballs which was helpful for their motor skills. It was so fun and I was happy they wanted to help out, and we even made cookie!
