A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Sydney, I go by Syd also and I am currently 19years old. I’ve previously worked 4 customer service jobs and helped with childcare here and there for almost a year. I absolutely love kids and would love to begin childcare more to occupy my free time. It is also the perfect gap of time out of each day to get in depth to childcare. I always go the extra mile with anything I do especially participating in actions I love. I am looking for a part time family Monday-Thursday 2- nights/midnight. In May I can begin Monday-Thursday with times in beginning at 8am- and ending at night or midnight(12am). More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered with children at the daycare located in Elgin attached to southeastern college aesthetician school. I did this for 2 months before I had to leave for college and absolutely fell involve. The care and love poured into the kids being poured back into me without them even knowing. Being able to take a load off of the parents doing something I highly enjoy. Having the ability to teach them lessons and engage in their everyday life and not just sit to watch them. I also have had the wonderful experience of babysitting/ nannying a 1 year old anytime her mom needed a break or go into work being she works from home. I have a strong gravitational towards kids along with that child while meeting/getting to know me for the first time. Patience with this is key throughout your time of caring for them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

A few things I enjoy doing with kids are cooking, taking them for a sweet treat, to play indoors or outdoors, along with being included taking them to and from playdates. I also take a strong liking to helping them with any homework in which may be troubling to them and seeing them grow their ability to understand and learn new ongoing things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

While letting a 1 year old play until she got tired, she randomly stopped and looked back at me crying. While seeing this I began to pick her up and ask what's wring while rubbing her back and lightly bouncing her but I noticed as soon as I stated to do so she immediately laid her head on my chest and held me tight as she began to fall asleep instantly. My heart instantly warmed as I continued to sway her to sleep because this was only my first night with her and all she wanted was to feel safe and cuddle on me as she fell into her slumber.
