Hi! I’m Sydney. I’m 21 years old and a senior at the University of Miami. I’m a proud aunt to two amazing kids, ages 3 and 5, who have sparked my love for caring for children of all ages. Over the years, I’ve gained experience supporting and engaging with kids through babysitting, tutoring, and volunteering with organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters and Gibson Bethel.
As the youngest of three, I know how much of a difference a caring, reliable babysitter can make. I love to dance, sing, and draw, and I enjoy finding creative ways to keep kids active, learning, and having fun.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve had the joy of caring for and supporting kids in many settings. Through Big Brothers Big Sisters, I helped with homework and led fun arts and crafts projects. At Gibson Bethel Community Center, I assisted with homework and played outdoor games like jump rope, freeze tag, and Red Light, Green Light; keeping kids active, creative, and having fun. I also love spending time with my niece and nephew (ages 3 and 5), whether thats in hearing about their day, interests, or playing games together, it has deepened my patience and love for working with children. In addition, I’ve tutored high school and college students, helping them build confidence and reach their goals academically.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I think its super important to keep kids active and engaged through fun, creative activities. Some of my favorites include playing outdoor games like jump rope, freeze tag, and sharks and minos, as well as doing arts and crafts. I also love to dance, sing, and play board or card games that get everyone laughing and thinking together. I learned most of my school work through games when I was younger and I think this is a great way to make learning fun. On quieter days, I enjoy baking cookies or brownies; it’s a sweet way to have fun, learn, and create something together.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a space where kids feel comfortable, supported, and inspired. I want to be someone they can talk to, not just about what they like or don’t like, but about their dreams and the things that make them light up. Being part of a child’s life is about making a positive difference, and my goal is to support them while becoming someone they’re genuinely excited to see. Family means everything to me, and I hope to be a trusted, joyful addition to the families I work with.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was when my niece and I created and performed a dance routine as a surprise for my brother. We practiced together, and seeing how proud and excited they were to show off what we made as a team was such a special feeling. We picked their favorite song at the moment and created a dance to it.
