Working as a camp counselor and having special needs kids in my group was seriously eye-opening. I learned so much about patience and creative problem-solving. Each camper had their own unique way of seeing the world, and it was my job to help them navigate activities in a way that worked for them. Sure, there were challenges, but those moments when I connected with a camper and saw them light up with joy made all the hard work totally worth it.
