My husband and I took classes for fostering children and fostered a 14 year old. I have attended college for early education and have worked as a teacher at Maranatha Babtist church private School in Kentucky as a kindergarten teacher and was a substitute for grades 1-4 when my husband was stationed at Fort Campbell. I also volunteer at my church, New Life Ministries in the nursery. I first started going through early education classes when I was 17 in 2007 and started off working with ages 6 month to 5 year olds and responsible for the after school program that our school offered with ages 6-9.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love working with children on vocabulary, colors, numbers and school work. My favorite is preparing children for kindergarten or their next grade. I set up a learning plan for my children every summer. I feel like education and consistency are very important. I also enjoy doing crafts and reading books.
