My name is Tabitha and I have been working with children for over 16 plus years . I am kind I have integrity I communicate very well and I'm organized. I love being outside and I love making art. I think it's important to teach children as well as nurture a relationship with children.. I love animals. I enjoy reading, dancing, creating art. I feel like it does take a village so to speak.. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was the Lead Teacher at a Montessori school for 16 plus years. I started out working with the infants at the school and finished with the Prekindergarten class. I loved working as the summer time Director for the kindercamp program. I have spent most of my life either teaching or nannying children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love making forts and obstacle courses if the weather is bad. I think it's important to try and get fresh air at least everyday unless you just can't . I love painting and cooking and reading with children I think it's important to nurture what the child is interested in as well. I think a good challenge is healthy age appropriate of course.. I think teaching life skills and making it educational and fun is a win win.. I like playing listening games and following directions games.. this is how most children learn.. I am knowledgeable with childrens literacy and enjoy story time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me is being mindful of everything around you.. listening and having integrity and being on time and being loving.. you are being trusted with the most precious people. Treat your nanny family with the same love and respect you would treat your own. Communication and mutual respect leads to success.

My experience with special needs children...

I don't have much experience with special needs. I have worked with ILPS a few times.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is meeting a new family and it just clicks.. we are all on the same page. I think that its important for everyone to be speaking the same " language". I feel like communication is key.
