One of the kids I watched was struggling with her feelings and how to calm herself down. I asked her if she would like some help with deep breaths and she said yes. We sat there for about 10 minutes working through her big feelings and when we were done it was like nothing happened. I loved that she felt she could trust me to work through those feelings with her and soaked in what I was telling her like a sponge. It’s moments like those where I realize how rewarding this job is.
