Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Family bingo, jenga, uno, tic tac toe, word searches, spelling and number games with cards, reading, painting, as well as arts and crafts. I try to plan activities that hone in on a child’s individual strengths whether that is art or building blocks, or an interest in math versus reading. I also love exploring the outdoors with children while engaging in catch or passing a ball back and forth to encourage independence, fine motor skills, and put on their listening ears.

I think my favorite stories are those in which a child starts an activity thinking they can’t do something and with the right amount of patience and encouragement, they finish the activity not only doing it but doing it better than they ever thought they could! Those special, “I did it,” moments with the biggest smiles!
