A little bit about me

My name is Tarryn. I live primarily out of Ashburnham Massachusetts. I have four younger siblings ranging from the ages 14-7. My youngest brother has a rare condition where he needs to be fed via feeding tube, which gives me experience with things like that. Growing up, I helped my parents a lot with my younger siblings and I really enjoy caring for younger children. I have a license along with my own car, so I will be able to transport myself. I work very well in cases of emergencies. I know how to keep my cool. I very patient when it comes to little kids. Although I am not certified with CPR, I am aware how to do it. I enjoy cooking and like to think that I have some skills in the kitchen. I am a good listener and I do well with following the rules. Altogether, I feel like working with children would be very beneficial for me, and that I can help families get the help they need.

I worked at an extended day program at the elementary school in my hometown. I primarily worked with kindergarten and first graders. I spent most of my time playing with them, and creating crafts that they would enjoy doing. I also have a bit of added experience working in a preschool/daycare setting with children 0-5.

My experience with special needs children...

My younger brother has special needs, and I have helped my parents with him since he was born. I also worked with a little girl with Down syndrome while I was working at the extended day program. At the extended day program, there was also a little boy with autism who I enjoyed spending time with.
