More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I began my childcare journey at 16 after earning my CPR and First Aid certification during my sophomore year of high school. I started with paid babysitting jobs, caring for children ages 3 to 6. I quickly discovered my passion for working with kids and decided to pursue it more seriously after realizing traditional jobs weren’t right for me.
I secured a long-term nanny position caring for a newborn and a pre-teen, with my main focus on infant care. I stayed with that family until I was nearly 18, gaining valuable experience in newborn routines and feeding schedules.By 17, I had built a full schedule caring for multiple families through private referrals and nanny apps, working with children ranging from newborns to age 10. I also worked as a part-time tutor for young children, helping with early learning skills which strengthened my ability to support children academically.
Currently, I work at a daycare center while pursuing my phlebotomy certification and a degree in cybersecurity.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating a fun, enriching environment right at home! Some of my favorite activities to do with children include arts and crafts, story time, imaginative play, simple science experiments, baking kid-friendly recipes, and building forts or obstacle courses for indoor movement and creativity. I enjoy finding ways to keep kids engaged, learning, and having fun—without ever needing to leave the house. Whether it's working on letters and numbers through games or setting up a mini movie night with homemade snacks, I aim to make every day exciting and comforting for the children I care for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing to me about being a nanny is building a safe, nurturing, and trusting relationship with the child (and their family).Everything else like teaching skills, setting routines, managing behavior, rests on that foundation of trust and care. If the child feels secure and loved, they will thrive under your guidance.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a 4-year-old I was watching decided they were going to “run away” because I said no to a second popsicle. They packed a bag with snacks, a stuffed animal, and one sock, then said they were moving to the backyard. I helped them set up a little “camp” outside, and after about 10 minutes, they came back inside and said, "Running away is hard"
Moments like that remind me how much joy and imagination kids bring into everyday life.
