Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning activities that are both fun and educational! Some of my favorite things to do with children include reading books, arts and crafts, sensory play, building with blocks and LEGOs, imaginative play, baking, science experiments, puzzles, and age-appropriate learning games. I also enjoy spending lots of time outdoors—going on walks, visiting parks and playgrounds, having picnics, exploring nature, playing sports, riding bikes or scooters, and blowing bubbles. I love encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and independence while making sure they feel safe, supported, and have fun every day.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with autism and understand the importance of meeting each child where they are. In my most recent nanny position, I primarily supported a child with autism by creating consistent routines, adapting activities to fit their individual needs, encouraging communication, and fostering social-emotional development. My bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Child Development has given me a strong foundation in child development and behavior, helping me provide patient, compassionate, and individualized care.
