My experience with special needs children...
I babysit a family member with a heart condition that prevents him from much physical exercise. He also was diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome which prevents him from functioning like other kids his age, he is nothing short of a kind, spirited kid though. He is intelligent and emotionally understanding though some disabilities limit his verbal and physical interactions.
