More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am CPR and First Aid certified with hands-on childcare experience from working at Children’s Mercy Hospital and a daycare after graduation from highschool in 2020. Currently pursuing a nursing degree with plans to specialize in pediatrics. I’ve also taught dance to children ages 3–18 after 18 years as a competitive dancer. I volunteer in the infant center at my church and bring a calm, creative, and dependable presence to every family I work with.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love staying active and enjoy sharing that energy with kids! Whether it’s going for walks, playing outside, or dancing around the living room, I’m always up for fun movement-based activities. I go on hiking trips with my fiancé’s family and enjoy being outdoors at places like the zoo, the pool, or the beach—anywhere we can explore and stay active together. As a dancer and teacher, I love incorporating music, movement, and creativity into playtime. Staying engaged, moving, and having fun in healthy, positive ways is something I always bring into my time with children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children can thrive emotionally, physically, and developmentally. It’s about building trust—not just with the children, but also with their parents—by being reliable, communicative, and genuinely invested in the child’s well-being. A great nanny goes beyond basic care by forming meaningful bonds, encouraging creativity, helping children feel understood, and being a steady, positive presence in their daily lives.
My experience with special needs children...
While working at the hospital, I had the opportunity to assist in environments that included children with special needs, which gave me a deeper appreciation for the importance of patience, empathy, and individualized care. Although my direct contact was limited, I always made an effort to be attentive and supportive. In high school, I was more actively involved—helping out with the special needs program and participating in a dance showcase designed specifically for students with disabilities. These experiences have taught me how meaningful inclusion and encouragement can be, and I’m always open to learning more and adapting to meet each child’s unique needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my favorite moments with kids have been the ones that feel truly meaningful and personal. Watching one of my “minis” perform on stage at a dance competition—after weeks of practice, nervous giggles, and pep talks—always fills me with pride and reminds me how special it is to be part of their growth. At Children’s Mercy, I have had so many interactions with the best children, I formed sweet connections with patients through small, simple interactions—offering a smile, helping them feel comfortable, or just being a calm presence during their visit. Whether it’s in a hospital room or backstage at a dance recital, I truly cherish the trust and joy that kids share when they feel seen, safe, and supported.
