More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

After graduating the Childcare Assistant program at Coastline Community College I enjoyed time as a Preschool Aide at Newport Montessori and as a Teacher at Learning Tree Preschool. I've luckily been able to teach and care for children in a variety of settings and varying age ranges. I had the pleasure of running a Kindergarten Program for the Boys & Girls Club, a hotel nanny for Kid's Nite Out, a Community Services Leader for the City of Irvine and as a nanny for some wonderful families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy visiting local parks, zoos, botanical gardens and aquariums. I believe so many day to day activities are great learning experiences for children. While I love to explore with the kids under my care it's also important to spend time at home reading together, cooking, gardening and practicing cleaning up.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe taking on the role as a nanny is an incredibly important and fulfilling job. I make sure that I keep communication open so I am helping raise the children in a way that aligns with the type of people their parents want them to become.

My experience with special needs children...

In my role as a Community Services Leader and as a Preschool Aide I worked with children experiencing Autism, Down syndrome and Dyslexia amongst other disabilities. I am able to pivot and give what each individual child needs so they are comfortable and able to succeed.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I really find joy in the many milestones I have been witness to with the children and families I've worked with over the years. A favorite moment of mine was visiting a Butterfly Room and seeing the butterflies land on the toddler I was nannying and seeing his immense joy and wonder. He was able even at a young age to know how to be gentle so as not to hurt the bugs and when we returned home was so excited to share with his parents meeting all of the butterflies.
