"We have worked with Taylor as both a babysitter and nanny in the summer for a few weeks since 2020. She is mature, kind, and responsible. She has driven our children to events, made meals for the kids, and puts them to bed. Our daughter has type one diabetes and Taylor provides us with a great relief that she is well cared for. The kids adore her and are always so excited when she babysits."

More About Me
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in fun and stimulating activities. Taking kids to the park for outdoor play, exploring nature on walks or hikes, and fostering creativity through arts and crafts are some of my favorites. I also enjoy occasional outings to places like the aquarium to inspire learning and discovery. Treating kids to a sweet treat now and then is another delightful way I like to connect with them. My goal is to create a balanced mix of physical, creative, and educational experiences while ensuring the kids have a wonderful time!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is building a genuine, trusting relationship with the children in your care. This connection fosters a positive environment where children feel safe to express themselves and explore their interests. As a nanny, I aim to support their emotional and social development by being a nurturing guide, encouraging open communication, and creating memorable experiences that contribute to their growth and happiness.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had the rewarding experience of working with a family that has two wonderful children, one of whom has type 1 diabetes. In this role, I was responsible for closely monitoring her blood sugar levels and managing her insulin regimen, which involved calculating and administering the appropriate bolus of insulin based on her carbohydrate intake. I learned the importance of being proactive; for instance, when planning activities, I had to anticipate how physical activity could impact her blood sugar and adjust her insulin accordingly.
Effective communication was key to our success. I engaged with her regularly to gauge how she was feeling. This experience taught me valuable skills in compassion, patience, and attentiveness, all of which I am eager to bring to my future nannying roles.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was the time I went on a one-on-one hike with an 11-year-old girl I was nannying. It was a joy to explore the beauty of nature around us while connecting and having meaningful conversations. That experience remains a wonderful memory that I cherish.
I also think back fondly to two shy kids I was babysitting for the first time. I felt stuck but then I noticed the 10-year-old boy doodling and decided to invite the 7-year-old girl to join him. I introduced a game where we would each draw something completely random—a line, a squiggle, a smiley face—and then pass it along to the next person to create something silly together. Something they intended to be one thing turned into another, and getting them to open up and smile is a moment I will always treasure.
