A little bit about me

I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old, I would pick up odd end babysitting jobs. For or a little over 6 years have nannied over the summer for many families. I also worked at a Church camp for two years interacting with kids of various ages in various ways. I would help supply meals, teach them new skills in any outdoor game, and by all means ensure they have loads of fun! I am planning on finishing my studies through an online program to finish getting my degree in Criminology.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I helped with numerous VBS events through churches over the summer. I have helped babysit for events, such as held a parents night out where we watched kids of many families so the parents could have a night out. I also helped in the kids church, Mainly in the Nursery but also assisted in preschool/school age kids church.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing games with kids whether they are board/card games as well as interactive games like hide and seek. I'm a very crafty person so chilling and coloring or doing a little craft together. I love doing activities that allow them to engage their brains or love doing anything with the kids that they love to do themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

the most important part of being a nanny to me is ensuring the children are enjoying themselves and having fun all in a safe and loving environment. Knowing and showing that they have a support system of people that are outside of the home, being there are present all the time and even more so when it is needed!

My experience with special needs children...

I have assisted a little bit in this area. We had a moment in time where we took in my cousin, who is 9 with autism. Both my mom and I took the brunt of caring for her. By all means I'm not expert in this area but have assisted in it a little bit.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Some of my favorite nanny moments are knowing I make such an impact on their lives that they want me to attend their extra curricular activites/performances! A family I worked for has a little girl who is super into ballet. She takes classes and even auditions for their take on Peter Pan Ballet. The moment she saw me she lit up and came running to me with the biggest smile and laugh. It really makes a difference seeing how much they light up when they see you attended to see them do what they love!
