A little bit about me

I graduated from Russellville High School in 2019, and have been a full time nanny since. A lot of my life is based around my job, and the work that comes with it. However, in my free time I enjoy snuggling with my cat, spending time with family and friends, cleaning/organizing (100%), and devoting time to self healing/mindful work. The first job I received as a nanny was in Arizona, caring for twin toddlers. I worked for the family from August 2019, to April 2021. Living in St Louis, I have been with my current family since May 2021. This job requires special needs care. I take my job very seriously, and come in everyday with an open mind and heart. The safety and well being of the children is always top priority. My approach to handling tough situations is to respond from the heart, leading to healthy behaviors/solutions. Providing an open, fun, engaging, and loving environment is crucial for the kid's growth and success! These are values I employ everyday within my job/life.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I grew up caring for younger children of family and friends.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some of the fun activities I like to incorporate into daily events are arts and crafts, boards games, puzzles, pretend play, outdoor play, water activities, and various other engaging games/tasks.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Personally, the most important part of being a nanny, is being the child’s safe space. Going into work everyday knowing you’re there for the children, regulating myself in order to be the best person I can be for the kids. It’s so important to take care of yourself, so when I’m with the kids, I’m able to guide and care for them in every best way possible. To remain empathetic and compassionate to their big feelings, and be the guiding hand that helps move them through challenging moments. Of course having a young spirit myself, and being absolutely overjoyed to work with kids!

My experience with special needs children...

I currently care for a child with special needs. The care involves various special therapies and ground work. I was involved with the Partners Club throughout school, which allowed students to work and interacts with special needs students.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Although very hard to pick, my favorite nanny moment was with the family I worked for in Arizona. We were on a trip at the beach, and the twins and I were running into the ocean waves together. Their laughs and sweet squeals mixed with the beauty of the beach, is a memory I’ll cherish forever.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in St. Louis, MO: Aaliyah V.

Hello, My name is Aaliyah Valiant. I am 14 years old looking to babysit any family in need. I know that I am young to look after small children, but I can assure you that am responsible. I’ve babysat before for children 6 and under. I prefer to babysit 0-13 month children because they are easier to take care of for me but I am still open to look after any children older than that. I hope you find the right match for you.
