I’m a 4th grade teacher looking for a change. I graduated from Alverno College in 2022 with a bachelors degree in Elementary and Special Education. I absolutely love working with kids. I love seeing the growth they make. It's very important that kids are learning both academic and life skills and that's what I'm here to do. I'm very easy going, reliable, and loyal. When working with kids everyday is different and new which makes it all more exciting! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

All of my jobs have been working with kids. I was a lead daycare teacher for 2 years. I worked with ages 6 weeks-8 years old during my time at the daycare. I then got a job as a Special Education Paraprofessional for grades 3-5. . This was such a rewarding and I learned so much about myself and the World during those 2 years. My most recent work experience was student teaching in a 1st grade classroom. This was a great experience and ending to my college experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing something different each day with kids. Staying active and moving around is something that I always plan in my day. I love going to parks, going swimming, and keeping the kids engaged. I'm always open to trying new and fun activities. If the child is school age I would love to help with schoolwork as I have a teaching license.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Becoming a nanny is being a role model to the kids. They look up to adults so It's very important that myself as a nanny is showing them how to act responsible. Being positive and looking at the good in life is something that I want kids to learn at a young age. If they believe in being positive then they will have a successful future.

My experience with special needs children...

Special education is something that is very important and I value everyday. I found my love for special education back in 2018 when I first started to respite care for 2 special needs siblings that had Fragile X Syndrome. Times were challenging but it was so rewarding seeing the growth they make. I was a Special Education Teacher Aide for 2 years for grades 3-5. I never take life for granted. Life is so precious.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Last summer I had the opportuntity to become a nanny for 3 children under the age 7. The ages for the kids were 2, 5, and 7. My favorite moment was watching each kid become their own individual person. No child was the same. It was amazing to see their growth, their passions, and how they handle daily life situations.
