A little bit about me

I am a mature, fun, active and retired grand mom who really loves being with kids. I'm looking for a new family to care for. I have many years of experience caring for children. I have references, a clean driving record, reliable transportation and full coverage insurance. I also have a DPS level one clearance. I have been volunteering with children for a very long time. I am currently a mentor for children. I've worked with at risk youth and children in the foster care system. I also have experience caring for a child on the spectrum.
I am looking for part-time work as a nanny/mom's helper. I am available from 11am and throughout the day. I am hoping for 18 to 25 hours per week. Although I have worked with children of all ages, I do prefer to work with children who are at least at preschool and school age. When a child is in my care I take care of them as if they were my own. My number one priority is their safety as well as their well-being. I hope to hear from you soon!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

A lot of the work that I have done has been either caring for my own children, grandchildren and a lot of volunteer work. It's only recently that I've been paid to take care of children. But I have many many years of experience. And I really enjoy taking care of little ones.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading to children and have them read to me, I enjoy doing outdoor activities with them, (weather permitting). I enjoy doing arts and crafts, school projects, playing games and taking them to the park for fun and play and nature walks. I enjoy taking them to the movies or the children's museum. I love teaching them new things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It is very important to me to put the children's safety first as well as their well-being. I love to enrich their lives and teach them everything that I can. I love to help them reach milestones. I love to take them on little day trips and hopefully they'll keep the memories forever. I am very loving so I love to give them cuddles when it's okay with them and the parents of course.

I have one year of experience working with a 10-year-old boy who is on the spectrum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There have been so many favorite moments for me over the years. One of the things that I love the most is seeing the smiles and happiness on their little faces. That makes me feel so good to see them happy and doing well.
