A little bit about me

I'm a very responsible, caring individual. I can also be a kid at heart. I've never had children of my own. That's one of the reasons why I love to work with children. It helps sometimes to fill the empty space of not having my own. The plus of not having children is my availability. I'm pretty flexible and also available occasional weekends. As a young teenager, I started babysitting children in my neighborhood. While a freshman in college, I drove home and worked weekends as a sitter for a 24-hour daycare. From May 2009 through September 2010, I also worked as a Toddler Teacher(two's) in Atlanta. I'm surrounded by children and have many references upon request.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a Caregiver for over 20 years. I’ve taken care of infants, the elderly and special-needs cases. I’m currently working with a company that I’ve been with since 2012 as a part-time Caregiver.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy teaching children many things from potty training to ABCs and numbers. When the weather permits we can do certain outside activities like going to the park.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What I love about being a nanny is being able to be around children since I was never able to have any of my own.

My experience with special needs children...

I first started working with special needs children as a teenager. There were a set of twins in my neighborhood and one had Cerebral palsy. I’ve worked for the Disabilities Board of Charleston county as well as Carolina Autism supported services.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment is when a child achieves potty training. The bright smile and the hand clapping knowing that they have accomplished a goal is everything!
