Hello, my name is Aaliyah. I am 17 years old and I have been taking care of children since I was a little girl myself. Other people would describe me as a natural born caregiver. I cook, clean, and put things away when needed. I’ve babysat kids who were nonverbal, autistic, and overactive. I am available anytime throughout the day before 9pm due to online school. My experience with special needs children...

I’ve been around kids who have special needs for as long as I can remember. My grandma who I reside with, retired as a special needs teacher. Watching how she took time to understand them and help them learn, taught me to be patient and show compassion. I’ve personally watched a few myself, the most recent being a non-verbal 6 year old. We had I lot of fun and I took the time to understand what she needed.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One time when I was babysitting I put on Just Dance so we could dance around whenever she was upset. It helped get that over burst of energy out and helped distract her from her parents leaving.
