More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Over the past few years, I’ve cared for children ages 1-6 in both tutoring and babysitting roles. Whether it was my sibilings, cousins, daycare positions or even my close friends children. I have the ability in addition to creating fun, age-appropriate learning activities, I’ve helped with daily routines such as meal prep, bedtime, and playtime. I love turning everyday moments into learning opportunities—like practicing counting during snack time or reading stories that spark imagination before bed.

My goal is always to create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where kids feel happy, supported, and stimulated. I’m attentive to each child’s needs and routines, and I always prioritize communication with parents to ensure we’re on the same page.

Whether it’s helping with early reading skills or just making sure the evening runs smoothly, I bring a calm, nurturing presence and a true passion for working with children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love making each day fun and meaningful for kids! Some of my favorite activities to do with children include:
• Storytime & Reading Together – Bringing books to life with fun voices and helping kids build early literacy skills.
• Arts & Crafts – From finger painting to simple DIY projects, I enjoy encouraging creativity and self-expression.
• Educational Games – Letter matching, number puzzles, and memory games that make learning feel like play.
• Outdoor Play – Going for walks, playing at the park, or doing simple nature scavenger hunts to get moving and explore.
• Music & Movement – Singing songs, dancing, or using simple instruments to boost mood and coordination.
• Imaginative Play – Pretend cooking, building forts—anything that sparks imagination and joy!

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is building a safe, loving, and trusting relationship with both the child and their family. Children thrive when they feel secure, supported, and truly seen. As a nanny, I take that role seriously.

It’s not just about routines and responsibilities; it’s about nurturing a child’s emotional well-being, encouraging their curiosity, and being a steady, positive presence in their day-to-day life. Every smile, hug, and milestone is a reminder that the connection we build has a lasting impact.

Being a nanny means showing up with patience, consistency, and care. Knowing that even the little moments can make a big difference in a child’s life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A 6-month-old I cared for who had just started discovering the world around them. We had a daily tummy time routine, and one day, after weeks of encouraging and cheering them on, they finally rolled over for the first time! I was so proud and so was the baby! I captured the moment to share with the parents

A toddler I cared for who had just started saying a few words. Every day, we sang songs, read books, and practiced simple words during playtime. One morning during breakfast, they looked up at me, smiled, and clearly said my name for the first time. It was such a sweet and genuine moment it melted my heart!

A 5-year-old I cared for to learn to write their name for the first time. We practiced every day with fun letter games and lots of encouragement. One afternoon, they proudly wrote their full name on a homemade card and couldn’t wait to show their parents. The excitement and pride on their face was priceless!

Hi! My name is Janelle Ramirez, I'm 21 years old, and I’ve always enjoyed working with kids. As the oldest sister in my family, I naturally took on the role of helping care for my younger siblings, which taught me patience, responsibility, and how to keep things fun and safe. I also have experience babysitting outside of my family, and I genuinely enjoy creating a positive and engaging environment for children. Whether it’s helping with homework, playing games, or just being a calm presence, I’m someone kids can feel comfortable around and parents can trust.
