A little bit about me

Hi my name is Theo! I’m Vaccinated. My pronouns are he/him. I am trans so if that’s a problem for you, you can stop reading here. (My trans-ness will never be a topic of conversation with kiddos) I am 28 years old. I have 5 years of experience working for the Department of Defense as a child and youth care provider. The center I worked at was NAEYC accredited. During that time I worked with kiddos aged 1-16. I was also working as a nanny part-time for a family with three boys! I have 15hrs of early childhood education from Rose State College as well as first aid /CPR certifications. I absolutely love children and love to do activities that get their creativity pumping. I would love to host kiddos at my place but I’m open to travel. I drive a Prius so your kiddos will be safe if you need me to drive them to practices or appointments.

I worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a Child and Youth Care Provider. I have experience working with several age groups. I did this for 5 years. I love family style dining and encouraging kids to try new things and experiences.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love outdoor play experiences. Chalk, water play, digging and talking about what we found; that kind of thing. Art is a big favorite of mine as well! But my favorite is reading, it’s a great way to bond and build trust with kiddos.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Safety! Whether it be allergies, or playing outside. Having fun is cool but we have to do it safely. Keeping kids safe so that that can explore and learn about the world as you guide them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the boys I was nannying for was about 4 years old when he exclaimed to me “I’m going to turn into a rock “Mr. Theo” and he proceeded to change into an all black outfit and get into the fetal position! It took everything in me not to laugh! I told him he was doing a great performance as a rock lol
