A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Therese! I graduated college last year from University at Buffalo. I am a teacher and teach Middle School reading, writing, and history in the inner-city of Buffalo. I have been working with children for 8+ years. I worked for the Town of Amherst Youth and Recreation department as a counselor at both summer camp and after-school programs. At summer camp I planned fun games, art projects, and activities gor elementary school children and at after-school I frequently helped children accomplish their homework. As a current teacher, I lesson plan and help each individual student succeed. I love helping children! I am first aid and CPR certified. I am passionate about education and working with children! Starting in beginning of June I will be available fulltime.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a teacher in the inner-city of Buffalo. I have experience teaching both Middle School and Elementary School. I have also babysat for the last eight years. I have babysat for a family with seven children ages newborn-13. Additionally, I babysit for a family with an 7 year old boy and a 4 year old boy. For 4 years I worked for the Town of Amherst Youth and Recreation Department. I worked as a Camp Counselor during the summer, and worked the NYS licensed afterschool program during the school year. I have completed all the required NYS trainings to work in a daycare setting for afterschool and all trainings to be a camp counselor. Through the Town of Amherst I have worked with children ages 5-11. Through babysitting I have worked with newborns and older children alike. I love children, so would love to nanny/babysit for your family!
