A little bit about me

Hey everyone! Here's a bit about me:
Prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked with G.E.A.R. U.P. through the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as an in-school Teaching Assistant for eighth grade English at Orchard Knob Middle School. I did this for three semesters, one of which was completely virtual. During the summer of 2019, I served as a virtual camp counselor and as a tutor for students attending the Chattanooga Girls Learning Academy summer school program.

Most recently, I have worked as a Registered Behavior Technician at Elevate Behavior Services. There, I was a therapist for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, working primarily on behavior and daily living skills.

Along with my professional experience with children, I have three nieces and two nephews ranging from less than one year to over ten years old. I have been involved in each of their lives and have had the privilege to watch them grow while also being a part of the experience!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing hands-on activities that include arts, crafts, exploring nature, playing games, swimming, and hiking! I also love doing quieter activities, like reading to kids and doing puzzles.
I am not cultured whatsoever in the sports arena, nor am I very coordinated, but I am happy to participate if anyone wants me to!
