I am a mom of 3 kids ages 31, 19, and 12 years old. I am a former teacher who worked with children ages 18 months up to 6 years old for 3 years. I was a daycare teacher for 6 months prior to teaching in a school with all age groups. I nanny newborns up to kids 16 yrs of age.

I was a Preschool teacher with 3 students who had special needs. I currently nanny 1 child with special needs. I have been with the current family almost 2 years.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I took care of a child with autism. He is high functioning and rarely speaks on his emotions. One day I took him, his sister, and her friend to the beach. We were walking on the boardwalk and he grabbed my hand to walk with me. He told me he liked having me as a nanny. My heart blew open. I almost cried. I had been working with them for about 6 months at that time. That is a moment I'll never forget.
