I have been a babysitter for almost 10 years now. I also volunteered at a preschool in my hometown from age 16 to 18. I also have quite a few children within my family that I have had the chance to care for and watch grow up!

I love having days at the park with the kids I care for. I also love to teach through music, it can give children a greater imagination and it can help with sleeping and be a positive mood booster! I have taught children piano lessons and sticking to it can teach them responsibility and give them a wonderful creative activity to work at.

I believe that creativity and imagination are human traits and not just childish traits. I am a very optimistic person who loves creativity and imagination and it is so wonderful to be able to connect with a child through that. Believing in wild dreams and magical things can be very important to a child's developing mind. I love to nurture their imagination and watch it grow. :)
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was a nanny for a 3 year old boy for a while and he was one of the most energetic and sweet boys I have ever met. He was very shy when he first met me, but eventually he began to open up and talk to me. When he was upset he began to communicate his emotions to me without getting upset. That was a wonderful moment to be apart of. When a child can trust you with their emotions, thats when this job is the most worth it to me. For a child to be comfortable around their caretaker is extremely important.
