Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Happy was I when I got my first babysitting job at age 10!
While most kids my age were attending Friday night High School football games I was playing Hide and Seek or building towns with Legos with the children I was put in charge of.
I have many times cared for children other than my own because I was a stay-at-home and I could!
I still have a 15 year old at home and continue to over see his High School studies and activities outside the home.
My whole life has pretty much been one of caring for others. This brings me great joy.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite activities are hikes outside in the morning and playing HORSE with the basketball.
Board games and outdoor games are fun and I’ve been known to beat my own kids in Corn Hole.
I have homeschooled all of my children and can help with most homework (advanced science and math are not my specialty!).
I am open to most activities but prefer to lifeguard instead of getting wet if swimming is an option.
Gardening and caring for animals are beloved hobbies of mine. I raised my children on a farm and am comfortable around all kinds of critters.
I am fond of children’s stories and movies, especially the wholesome classics.
I love Jesus and am not afraid to share my faith, and I do respect others’ faith walks.
I love having fun and finding joy even amongst the chaos.

Being a caretaker of any of God’s creatures is a privilege and a beautiful responsibility.
Caring for children has always been my heart’s desire and I am blessed to have seven of my own; all but one are grown up.I am sill homeschooling my youngest who is now in high school and very independent.

I have many wonderful people in my life with Down Syndrome. I find these individuals have much to teach me about love, honesty and genuine friendship.
I have raised and homeschooled a daughter gifted with dyslexia who went on to college and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.
I am patient with those who have special needs and am open to assisting families who have need of a caretaker in this way.
