Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I cared for 2 children for two years. I attended to all aspects of care associated with a nanny position (light housekeeping, meal prep, transport to and from activities, monitoring medical/emotional states). I ended employment due to moving out of state.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
So many to choose from! Reading, going for a walk, taking them to the park, drawing, singing, making a tent fort in the living room...even cleaning their room with them can be made fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Communication. Both with the children and parents. The function of a nanny is to facilitate the care of children in the manner set forth by the parents. I find it's best achieved by communicating and actively listening.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with food allergies (my child requires an epi pen which I am trained to use and I thoroughly read labels for food safety. I have cared for mentally disabled, ADD, and epileptic children.
