A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Treasure Merisca and I am interested in this position. I've been a full-time nanny for 10 years but overall, been around children and mentoring children for a little over 11 years. Within those 11 years of nannying, I've cared for newborns (as well as premature twin babies) toddlers all the way up to 11 years old. I received my BA in psychology in mental health/early child development. Even with my degree, I’m always up to date with the developmental stages and new research out, for the betterment of children. I also minored in English at Southern Connecticut State University. I have care for children with disabilities, I've also cared for toddlers and teens with autism, giving them the special care/attention they need to thrive. I’ve been a live-in nanny before, for parents with demanding jobs.
Fun fact about me: I love to dance, I love arts and craft and love the outdoors! I don't have any children of my own but I have 2 amazing God children.

Most important part about being a nanny is having patience. The goal is to make sure that child is thriving emotionally, physically, mentally and even spiritually. That cannot happen if a nanny doesn’t possess that skill. Being a nanny is hard work and it takes a special kind of person to truly bond with a child and to put the child’s needs first.
