In the past, I have worked with young children from ages 4 to 12 at a Vacation Bible School. I helped with playing games, crafts, and choir. I also helped a family friend with Nannying a family that had 3 kids: a 5 year old, a two year old, and an infant for about a year or so. I helped with prepping meals and playing with the children. As of today, I have taken care of my 16 month old niece which consisted of playtime, learning to walk, changing her diaper and meal prepping.

I love going outside! Wether it’s building a snowman, going to the park, going on a walk for a nice cool treat in the summer, I love being active outdoors. But when it comes to being indoors, I love painting, arts and crafts, and watching Disney movies.

The most important part of being a nanny is developing a bond and trust with the children I watch. I want them to feel comfortable and trust me. Another important part is having patience. Children are growing and learning every day, and it can definitely be difficult at times for them to express what emotions they are going through. It’s important to calm, listen, and have patience.
