I’m also happy to undergo any training or learn from parents or caregivers to ensure I can meet their child’s specific needs. A memorable moment for me while babysitting was when the child I cared for started to treat me like family. There was a point when he would get so excited whenever I arrived, eagerly wanting to hang out, play, or simply talk. It made me realize that I had created a safe and comfortable environment for him, and that sense of trust and connection is incredibly rewarding. Knowing that I’m not just a caregiver, but someone he feels close to, is a sign I’m doing something right.
