More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I cared for a newborn baby in Columbus, Ohio until she was able to attend daycare. Her mother was a doctor and her dad worked construction. My responsibilities were to warm up her mother’s milk and clean bottles/ breastfeeding parts. I also did laundry for the baby and her 4 year old sister that attended daycare. I also did housekeeping chores, looked after their cats, took the baby on walks in her stroller, helped her learn with flash cards, and even did her hair. Another experience would be babysitting for 5 foster children in Las Vegas, Nevada, One of them was special needs so he required full care and attention which was very easy for me.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When I’m caregiving, I love to paint, draw, go on walks, help with homework, craft, bike ride, going to pool, fashion shows, baking, board games, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is watching the kids grow up and excel in learning new things. I think it’s very important that children have someone that not only takes care of them while their parents are working hard, but have someone who they feel completely safe and comfortable with as they wait for their parents to return. Nannies will never replace parents but it’s very important to have a nanny that shows the same love and attention that a parent shows their child.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for a diabetic child as well as a child with down syndrome, a child with kidney disease, and multiple children that are verbal and non verbally autistic.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was finding a bat with 3 kids I used to take care of. We hiked up a small hill and did some sightseeing. Once we found the bat, we took pictures of it on their polaroid cameras and printed them out to show their parents. They had so much fun and still bring it up to this day!
