A little bit about me

My name is Trinity Boston, and I am a student at NDSCS studying Liberal Arts with the goal of pursuing a career in the medical field. I have always had a strong sense of empathy for others, and one of my greatest motivations is knowing that I can make a positive impact on someone’s life.
My experience working at a daycare and preschool in Fargo, ND, has been especially meaningful to me. In this role, I worked with children from many different backgrounds and with a wide range of personalities and individual needs. Some situations were challenging, but they taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, compassion, and understanding. I learned how to adjust my approach to each child and find different ways to support them while making sure they felt safe and cared for.

I worked as a “floater” in Legacy Childcare Fargo, ND. Legacy is a Childcare/Preschool where I worked with children ages 6weeks-6years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love planning and doing art activities, outdoor activities, anything where we are being productive and doing things together.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is building connection, and trust. To make a child feel safe in their environment, it’s important that they can feel comfortable and safe where they are, and who they are with. when they feel loved, supported, and seen they are more willing to open up and learn and do, have fun, and look forward to their babysitters arrival.

My experience with special needs children...

There were a few children in the setting that needed extra assistance, which can be hard in an environment where they are the ones with disabilities. But, I learned how to adapt and still care and support the children despite their challenges, and we worked around the obstacles to ensure they were getting everything they needed.

The most important part about being a nanny...

While I was helping in the preschool I worked closely with a child who was struggling with his curriculum. He was having a hard time counting his numbers, after working with him a bit he got it down and we created a strong connection along the way. He would refer me as his “favorite teacher”, looking for me everyday to give me a hug before he left to go home. I am still currently in contact with his mom, allowing me to occasionally visit him. The bond we have created is so incredibly special to me, knowing that I made such a positive impact on his development fills me with so much happiness.
