More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been babysitting since I was 12 Years old from family to neighbors to some of my parents friends who needed someone on date nights or after school care for the little ones. That equals out to 9 years of child care experience, along with the caring of the children I also have experience in meal prepping and meal making.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy planning an array of activities whether it is indoors or outdoors from going to a theme park or Mini Golf to a more educational activity such as the Zoo, Aquarium, or my favorite interactive activity of a Museum. I try and stay out of the house unless the weather is poor or a “Lazy Day” is needed for the kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny I would have to say the child’s Safety and/or their routine but to also create a good nurturing environment to grow up in whether it is how they learn or the activities done. Working with my autistic cousin has been a very good learning experience for me, being particular with certain things from activities to the meals being made, I had to build trust and a good environment to help him grow and advance.
My experience with special needs children...
My personal experience with special needs children comes down to my autistic cousin who i have assisted caring for. I have also been around and occasionally helped my grandma with my aunt who is a high functioning human with Down syndrome.

Babysitter Available in West Seneca, NY: Jamie L.
I have a niece and nephew I have watched periodically since they were really small. They are 6 and 8 now. I still babysit on occasion. I have 8.5 years of experience caring for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities often requiring intensive care, feedings, appropriate food preparation to safe consistencies, administering medications, planning extracurricular activities that are enjoyable for their mental age, showering, taking them to/scheduling appts and all direct care needs they require. Many of the adults with disabilities I have worked with have had child-like mentality. I also managed a group home for 6, almost 7 years. I have alot of experience with taking care of people with all different needs/backgrounds and ensuring a safe and happy environment for them to thrive in. I am not certified for CPR/First Aid through NYS but have taken those trainings at least a dozen times over the years of my experience in the field of caregiving.

Babysitter Available in West Seneca, NY: Valentina L.
Hi I'm Val,
For nearly 3 years, I volunteered as a camp counselor for Camp Good Days, supervising children ages 4–15, including those with serious health conditions such as cancer and sickle cell anemia. I ensured their safety and supported their medical needs. I have also babysat for multiple families, caring for children from 1 to 13 years old. Additionally, I volunteered as a tutor for elementary and middle school students and served as a caretaker for a child with special needs, assisting with schoolwork and helping him learn to read full books. I currently attend the University at Buffalo, and I am majoring in Political Science, with a minor in Communications. I have great communication skills and love working with children of all age groups. I am confident I can provide a positive, fun, and educational environment for your kids.
