My name is Trish, and I recently moved back to Jacksonville, Texas, after spending time in Seattle, Washington, where I worked alongside children's play and talk therapists. Through that experience, I discovered a deep passion for childhood development and for helping children understand and navigate their big emotions through communication, creativity, and time in nature. I love watching kids grow, build confidence, and discover new things - especially when I have the opportunity to be part of that journey. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Most recently, I worked at Mindful Therapy Group, where I supported licensed children's play and talk therapists. Through that role, I gained a deeper understanding of child development, emotional regulation, and how to help children navigate big feelings in healthy, age-appropriate ways.

Before that, I worked at Central Children's Care as a floating substitute teacher, caring for children from infancy through age five and supporting their daily routines, learning, and development.

I also spent several years mentoring middle school girls, helping them navigate the challenges and changes that come with adolescence, and I have over 10 years of babysitting experience with children of various ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, spending time outdoors exploring nature, cooking and baking together, making music and singing, and hands-on science projects. I'm currently a science major, so I love introducing children to the fun and wonder of science through age-appropriate experiments, curiosity, and exploration. I enjoy creating experiences that encourage creativity, confidence, and a love of learning while making sure children feel safe, supported, and excited to discover new things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe one of the most important parts of being a nanny is recognizing that no two children are the same. Every child has their own personality, learning style, and emotional needs. Being flexible, patient, and willing to meet each child where they are allows them to feel understood, supported, and ultimately gives them the best opportunity to thrive.

My experience with special needs children...

While I don't have extensive experience working with children with special needs, I am patient, adaptable, and eager to learn. I believe every child is unique, and I'm committed to understanding each child's individual routines, strengths, and support needs so I can provide the best care possible.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts of being a nanny is seeing a child grow comfortable enough to express how they're feeling, especially if that's something they've struggled with in the past. It's incredibly rewarding to watch children begin to understand their emotions, communicate their needs, and develop empathy and confidence as they learn more about themselves and the people around them.
