One of my favorite nanny moments are caught between a shy 9-year-old who came alive while teaching me Minecraft and a toddler who had just learned to put on her own shoes. The older child gave me a full tour of his digital world, narrating every detail with pride, while the toddler beamed every time she got the Velcro just right with the correct shoe on. Both moments reminded me how different kids are, but how powerful it is when they feel capable and seen.
