I have had my own day care and worked in others. Run the nursery at my church. I am the mother of a two year old beautiful and crazy little girl.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy frequent park visits and fun walks to the library. Bike riding and outdoor exercises are very important to me!

The most important part about being a nanny...

is realizing that every action you take holds the most important responsibility. You are in charge of not only the safety of someones sweet child, but you are there to guide this child while their parent trusts you to watch them. Be a good example; encourage curiosity and learning; show what healthy and educational fun looks like!

My experience with special needs children...

I was the lead volunteer for my high schools special Olympics group for 3 years in a row, but volunteered for many years prior.

The most important part about being a nanny...

while taking care of a set of wonderful two year old twins, who were absolutely complete opposites. We had been working on potty training and one had been a little faster than the other which made the one who hadn't quite got it yet pretty frustrated. So she hid her brothers potty chair under the sink and put about 15 stickers on her chart to pretend she had done it. When I noticed what she had done, I went to talk with her, only to find that she was running to the bathroom to use the potty all on her own!
