I’ve been babysitting since I was 13, working with a variety of families in my hometown—including friends, relatives, and neighbors—to earn extra money while gaining experience, I’ve also worked at a daycare in my hometown since I was 16yr. I’ve volunteered with a nonprofit organization that supports single mothers, helping distribute essential supplies to those in need. Caring for kids has always been a passion of mine, and I truly enjoy creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for them to grow.

It’s about making sure they know they’re always supported, whether it’s in a moment of uncertainty or as they take on new challenges. But safety doesn’t just mean protection—it’s also about fostering a space where fun, creativity, and learning can flourish. Having fun is essential too! It's about bringing joy into everyday moments, from silly games to imaginative play, and ensuring that each day is filled with laughter and excitement. A balance of both safety and fun is key to helping kids grow, learn, and thrive, while knowing they’re in a space that’s both secure and filled with possibilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the most heartwarming moments I’ve experienced as a nanny was teaching a baby boy some basic American Sign Language (ASL). Watching his face light up when he made the sign for “milk” or “more” was incredibly rewarding. It was a powerful reminder of how communication isn’t just about words—it’s about making connections. His tiny hands signing “thank you” to me still brings a smile to my face.
